Meet Grace Orofino, LCPC, CADC

Grace Orofino

Licensed Therapist

Therapy is a rare opportunity to nurture your inner world and be truly “seen” by another person.

When you confront your pain, and hear your own voice in a space free from ridicule and shame, you can begin speaking to and treating yourself with compassion and curiosity; which is the first step toward healing and self-discovery.

My approach integrates Psychodynamic, Existential, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge you to explore deeper motivations and how past experiences have shaped your conception of yourself, others, and life in general. Through enhanced insight and self-awareness, you’ll be prepared to navigate relationships and situations that would have previously overwhelmed you.

I graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Toledo in 2015 and have since had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings, including medical detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs, community mental health and outpatient counseling. These experiences have equipped me with the tools to support individuals navigating a variety of mental health challenges and substance use disorders.

As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), I’ll invite you to explore your experiences, beliefs, and behaviors around substance use and help you make personalized decisions about your relationship with substances. Substance use exists on a continuum and can be both helpful and harmful. My role as your therapist isn’t to encourage or discourage you from using any particular substance, but rather to invite you to explore your relationship with substances and make decisions about what YOU want that to look like. I am here to support you, whether you are actively using substances, seeking sobriety, in recovery, or have a loved one with an addiction.

When working with individuals impacted by someone else’s substance use, I incorporate the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) approach. This skills-based and solution-focused approach aims to increase awareness, maintain communication, and effectively encourage a loved one toward treatment, while also ensuring that you take care of yourself in the process. It’s a powerful tool for improving family dynamics and fostering healthy, supportive relationships.

Whether you are seeking help for addiction, mental health concerns, or simply wish to understand yourself more deeply, I am here to help you navigate your journey with care, respect, and empathy. Together, we can create a path toward healing and emotional well-being.
